His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. ‘He will rule them with an iron scepter.’ He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.” This prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus returns to earth to judge the living and the dead.

We must forgive, as Matthew 6:15 reminds us. But personally, I have discovered the great peace and lightness of heart to be found in forgiving those who have hurt me. I am not bitter, just so grateful that the peace of God has given me love for these people. Bitterness shows itself in our actions, on our face, and in our psyche. It makes us not so nice to know. I would encourage anyone who harbors anger and resentment to simply lay these feelings at the feet of Jesus. Don’t let the past steal the rest of your life from the grave. Be victorious in your walk with God. It’s just so amazing! :)
