So I have a husband who is a workaholic. I’m usually able to ‘deal’ with it but as of late, with working from home due to COVID, I’ve been climbing the walls with a serious lack of people interaction. This in turn had me recently up until now, pointing my frustration at my husband who’s been his usual workaholic self.  After some self-examination, I had to tell myself that maybe I have been leaning on him too much. I had to remind myself that it’s ok to focus on some things that I want to do, new projects, hobbies, etc. This is what brought me to posting this thread. I thought that I would share and maybe let someone out there know that they’re not alone if dealing with something similar.

Being a loving wife and mother, with the primary task of turning a physical structure called a house, into the family sanctuary called a home, is one of the most important, difficult, commonly under appreciated, yet one of the most rewarding positions life can offer. Since the focus is almost always on others, this can certainly lead to self neglect and burnout. In my opinion, there should be a plan to include Praying together, more communication about what’s important to you, education and Perhaps counseling. And if it’s been a while, it wouldn’t be bad idea to make time for a long, quite vacation together with no iPads or cellphones. You husband needs to come to the understanding that it’s time he directs his attention to helping you refocus and recharge.
