    Preheat oven to 350F.

    Grease a 13 x 9 pan

    Melt together:

    2 squares unsweetened chocolate

    2 squares semi-sweet chocolate

    2/3 cup of butter

    Mix together:

    2 cups of sugar

    4 eggs

    Beat well

    Sift together

    1 1/2 cup of flour

    1 teaspoon baking powder

    1 teaspoon salt

    Once the sugar and eggs are beaten well, slowly add the flour, baking power and salt. Mix well, slowly add the chocolate and butter. Mix well, pour into pan

    1 cup chopped nuts are optional and can be added now.

    Bake for 30 – 35 minutes, until the sides begin to pull away from the pan.

    Cool thoroughly.

    Sift two cups powdered sugar

    Melt together:

    1 square unsweetened chocolate

    1 square semi-sweet chocolate

    Hot water

    Stir the melted chocolate and butter into the powdered sugar. Add just enough hot water to get a good texture, should be creamy. Beat until glossy. Frost brownies.
