[10:02:58 PM] dimples: Amen
[10:03:07 PM] jalynn50: To Experience God’s Peace
[10:03:23 PM] dimples: PEACE---A subject I so need
[10:03:35 PM] jalynn50: “If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea.” Isa. 48:18
[10:03:52 PM] ppl1st: If only
[10:04:06 PM] dimples: Yes we have choice
[10:04:17 PM] jalynn50: this was a very interesting verse that made me look at God in a different light
[10:04:37 PM] jalynn50: So far we have looked at knowing God and believing Him, to glorify God and to find satisfaction in God.
[10:05:05 PM] jalynn50: tonight we experiencing finding peace with and in God
[10:05:28 PM] jalynn50: 2 Thessalonians 3:16- Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.
[10:05:35 PM] dimples: we all need a reminder of that sometime
[10:06:04 PM] jalynn50: According to this scripture, how often and in how many areas of life does God desire to give you peace?
[10:06:15 PM] Bengalcat: all
[10:06:16 PM] dimples: ALL ways
[10:06:26 PM] Soulprint: in everything
[10:06:55 PM] jalynn50: awesome thought peace in everyway
[10:07:14 PM] dimples: Yes I have been searching so hard this week for that
[10:07:16 PM] jalynn50: Peace can be possible in any situation, but we cannot simply produce it on demand. In fact, we cannot produce it at all. It is the” fruit of the spirit” (Gal. 5:22)
[10:07:27 PM] Bengalcat: to take god at his word and simply beleive him goes a long way in providing peace

[10:08:00 PM] jalynn50: We have Christ’s peace. It has already been given to us if we have received Christ. We just don’t always know how to activate it. Tonight we’re going to discover the key to experiencing the practical reality of God’s peace.

[10:08:39 PM] ppl1st: That's interesting that Galatians say we cannot produce it or demand it.
[10:09:00 PM] dimples: us younger Christians I feel have trouble activating.
[10:09:07 PM] jalynn50: It s a fruit of the Spirit

[10:09:59 PM] CindySue53: Galations says it is a fruit of the Spirit
[10:10:05 PM] ppl1st: Jalynn, if the Thessalonians passage prays for peace to be given, why do you say it has already been give to us?
[10:10:20 PM] jalynn50: The Book of Isaiah uses the word peace 26 times. God continually promised peace when His captives returned wholeheartedly to the lord. Let’s begin to uncover the key to experiencing the peace Christ left as our inheritance.
[10:10:21 PM] dimples: savedman: being an older christian I have learned to activate that peace more often

[10:11:21 PM] jalynn50: hold on Im giving your question some thought

[10:12:14 PM] ppl1st: Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your thought or teaching. Please go ahead.

[10:14:19 PM] jalynn50: you didnt and that is a good question. Lets see if it s answer as we go and I will visit it again if it isnt okay

[10:14:33 PM] ppl1st: That is perfectly fine.
[10:14:43 PM] Lineman: sure
[10:14:46 PM] Lineman: hello drgn
[10:14:48 PM] jalynn50: Look at these scriptures and identify what each passage teaches you about peace.
[10:15:04 PM] jalynn50: Isaiah 9:6-7 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a child is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
[10:15:29 PM] jalynn50: Isaiah 26:3- You will keep Him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
[10:15:48 PM] jalynn50: Isaiah 32:17-The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
[10:16:13 PM] jalynn50: Isaiah 53:5 – But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed.
[10:16:28 PM] dimples: Keeping your focus on Christ can keep you in peace no matter what situation you are in
[10:16:32 PM] ppl1st: Peace is a work of righteousness
[10:16:38 PM] jalynn50: Isaiah 54:10- For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
[10:16:56 PM] dimples: Yes ppl1st
[10:17:07 PM] jalynn50: Isaiah 57:2- He shall enter into peace; they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
[10:17:22 PM] jalynn50: Isaiah 60:17- Instead of bronze I will bring you gold, instead of iron I will bring silver, instead of wood, bronze, and instead of stones iron. I will also make your officers peace, and your magistrate’s righteousness.
[10:17:53 PM] jalynn50: Did you see any hints of a common denominator tying several of these scriptures together?
[10:18:12 PM] jalynn50: anyone?
[10:18:24 PM] dimples: Christ is the one that ties all them together
[10:18:27 PM] ppl1st: Obedience, perhaps?
[10:18:48 PM] drgnfly: High quality
[10:18:53 PM] Bengalcat: to be righteoss gives peace
[10:19:01 PM] drgnfly: ?
[10:19:19 PM] jalynn50: great answers
[10:19:28 PM] dimples: savedman: could it be peace gives righteousness or both simbiotic
[10:19:31 PM] Bengalcat: I find to be in the center of Gods will brings peace as well
[10:19:47 PM] jalynn50: Isaiah 9:6-7 perfectly portrays the key to peace, and he will be called… Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.” The key to peace is authority. When we allow the Prince of Peace to govern our lives, peace either immediately or ultimately results. Peace accompanies authority.
[10:19:48 PM] ppl1st: It comes from the creator to those who walk with Him
[10:20:41 PM] jalynn50: dimples spoke this a minute ago. right on target!
[10:21:22 PM] jalynn50: Christ desperately wants His people to experience His peace.
[10:21:42 PM] dimples: Amen, his peace is love and his blessings says savedman
[10:21:56 PM] jalynn50: Luke 19: 41-42 says: Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying “if you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.”
[10:23:36 PM] ppl1st: This seems to be saying that peace is not automatically given. For at that point, it was hidden from their eyes.

[10:24:00 PM] dimples: We make it hidden
[10:24:11 PM] jalynn50: yes thats right and it is also the way it is for us
[10:24:14 PM] dimples: It is always available and given
[10:24:20 PM] Bengalcat: the passage from luke suggests there is a limited time to accept what is given from God, if not recieved then it cannot ever be held?
[10:24:25 PM] jalynn50: I believe Christ still grieves when He sees hearts in unnecessary turmoil. You can have the peace of Christ, believer, no matter what your circumstances: but you must believe, bend the knee and learn how to receive.
[10:24:54 PM] jalynn50: we talked some about this last week
[10:24:59 PM] dimples: Yes cat in other words you are only promised today and you need to seek salvation
[10:25:41 PM] jalynn50: These were his people

[10:26:17 PM] ppl1st: And He wept over their failures
[10:26:26 PM] jalynn50: Isaiah 48:17-18 – Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go. 18.Oh that you heed my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
[10:26:44 PM] CindySue53: As he weeps over our failures.
[10:26:48 PM] dolphinattak: hello my brothers and sisters

[10:28:38 PM] dolphinattak: never heard that song jalynn
[10:28:41 PM] dimples: oh yes
[10:28:52 PM] dolphinattak: peace is a good topic......
[10:28:55 PM] dimples: I got peace like a river in my soul
[10:29:06 PM] dolphinattak: so is faith, trust and love
[10:29:07 PM] ppl1st: "When peace, like a river, attendeth my way."
[10:29:19 PM] jalynn50: it ties in to this study

[10:30:46 PM] jalynn50: we are looking in Isaiah
[10:30:48 PM] Soulprint: Isiah
[10:31:01 PM] Soulprint: 48:17-18
[10:31:28 PM] jalynn50: but quite a few different chapters
[10:31:35 PM] jalynn50: thanks soul
[10:32:01 PM] Lineman: 48 18, 18 Like a loving parent, God teaches and guides us. We should listen to Him because peace and righteousness com to us as we obey His word. Refusing to pay attention to God's commands invites punishment and threatens that peace and righteousness.
[10:32:17 PM] Soulprint: redeemer
[10:32:21 PM] Lineman: *17, 18
[10:32:25 PM] jalynn50: amen line
[10:32:31 PM] dimples: very true lineman
[10:32:50 PM] jalynn50: He is God, the creator of the heavens and earth, the supreme author of all existence.
[10:33:09 PM] jalynn50: He reigns over all and in Him all things exist. He is Lord, the master and owner of all living creatures.
[10:33:29 PM] dolphinattak: Amen to all the comments
[10:33:35 PM] jalynn50: He is the covenant Maker and the covenant Keeper.
[10:33:41 PM] ppl1st: Going back now to the idea of in His authority, we can find peace
[10:33:58 PM] dimples: yes ppl1st
[10:34:08 PM] jalynn50: He delights in humanity, His prize creation and woos us to the riches of relationship.
[10:34:19 PM] jalynn50: yes pp thats right

[10:35:10 PM] ppl1st: love that
[10:35:11 PM] jalynn50: As Lord, He will never ask anything of us that is not right, good and open to the light.
[10:35:15 PM] CindySue53: He is such a loving Father!!!
[10:35:16 PM] dimples: savedman: he created us to love him and have relationships with HIm
[10:35:25 PM] dolphinattak: Gods promises are so wonderful and powerful
[10:35:32 PM] jalynn50: yes He did
[10:35:55 PM] jalynn50: He is perfect and undefiled. Lastly, He is redeemer, the One who bought us from sin’s slave master so we could experience abundant life.
[10:36:18 PM] dolphinattak: because of God loving us and sending Christ , it made the promises of God stand strong as long as we believe them
[10:36:20 PM] jalynn50: He bought us to set us free. “What, then shall we say in response to this?
[10:36:20 PM] dimples: very true
[10:36:41 PM] CindySue53: Thank you Lord!!!
[10:36:52 PM] dolphinattak: halleluia....spin and jump.....jalynn
[10:36:56 PM] dimples: greatly humbled
[10:37:08 PM] jalynn50: dolph in psalms it says that God know before He created the world
[10:37:21 PM] dimples: savedman: so we can choose to serve him
[10:37:45 PM] dolphinattak: isnt that awesome too that He created our family generation just to make us?....Yay!
[10:37:48 PM] ppl1st: Praise be to God
[10:37:53 PM] jalynn50: He knew before He created the world that there would be a need for His son to pay a price for us
[10:38:15 PM] Soulprint: and he thought we were worth it
[10:38:26 PM] jalynn50: but He loved us before He created the world
[10:38:37 PM] dolphinattak: He also knew our faults, and plans to prosper us and give us success
[10:38:51 PM] jalynn50: and He created the world because he loved us
[10:38:58 PM] jalynn50: amen
[10:39:04 PM] dimples: flesh may return to ash but He created our SOUL, we are His
[10:39:07 PM] Soulprint: AMEN
[10:39:15 PM] dolphinattak: all things worked together for our good so we can be added to His perfect plan to prosper and live a great life
[10:39:16 PM] jalynn50: He bought us to set us free. “What, then shall we say in response to this?

[10:39:48 PM] dolphinattak: once again jaylynn......HALLELUIA!
[10:40:06 PM] jalynn50: If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31)
[10:40:12 PM] dimples: Kneel down and praise him
[10:40:32 PM] jalynn50: What would happen if we paid attention to God’s commands? (Isaiah 48:18)
[10:40:33 PM] ppl1st: I am free in Christ to find peace. Praising Him and Hi alone for that
[10:40:47 PM] jalynn50: amen
[10:40:48 PM] ppl1st: *Him
[10:41:01 PM] dolphinattak: no one jaylynn...because God is for us Christ took the power away from the enemy leaving him poweerless giving us our dominion back
[10:41:11 PM] dimples: Then he will honor that and bestow peace upon us
[10:41:41 PM] jalynn50: now this next little part im going to share is very interesting and thought provoking
[10:41:55 PM] dolphinattak: Amen but we cant have perfect peace till we are fully transformed by the renewing of our minds
[10:42:09 PM] jalynn50: When God used the analogy of a river, He described a peace that can be retained while life twists and turns and rolls over boulders.
[10:42:37 PM] Soulprint: awesome analogy
[10:42:40 PM] jalynn50: To have peace like a river is to have security and tranquility of heart and mind while meeting many bumps and unexpected turns on life’s journey through change.
[10:42:42 PM] dimples: I can see that dolphin and yes jalynn
[10:43:08 PM] CindySue53: AMEN!!! jal
[10:43:23 PM] ppl1st: Still waters run deep
[10:43:44 PM] jalynn50: . Peace is submission to a trustworthy Authority, not resignation from all activity.
[10:44:23 PM] ppl1st: It occurs to me that peace is also found in terms of our proximity to Him.
[10:44:30 PM] jalynn50: isnt this awesome
[10:44:39 PM] dimples: yes ppl
[10:44:40 PM] jalynn50: true
[10:44:42 PM] ppl1st: The further away we are, peace is more difficult to find
[10:45:03 PM] ppl1st: The closer we come to Him, the peace becomes more perfect
[10:45:05 PM] dolphinattak: yes jaylynn and the closer I get to Him is not as much peaceful as it is full of joy
[10:45:05 PM] Bengalcat: we also have peace depending on what we base it on, if we base it on our circumstanceswe will be tossed around by daily things, but if we base our peace on the knowlege of our future with christ, we will be secure and have the peace that passes understanding
[10:45:36 PM] ppl1st: That's so true, cat
[10:45:38 PM] dimples: Amen cat
[10:45:40 PM] dolphinattak: because as you know the joy of the Lord is our strength to overcome all obstacles
[10:45:48 PM] ppl1st: not based upon our circumstances
[10:46:20 PM] CindySue53: Peace gives me the Lord's strength for each day!
[10:46:30 PM] dimples: welcome mike talking about peace tonight
[10:47:01 PM] mikeb99: hello peeps
[10:47:02 PM] ppl1st: We are all so peaceful at the moment. :-)
[10:47:15 PM] jalynn50: but look at your circumstances: when you have peace when you hold on to him in submission then it doesnt matter what happens because he has your hand
[10:47:15 PM] Lineman: *SmileFish*
[10:47:15 PM] Soulprint: lol yes we are
[10:47:30 PM] Soulprint: Amen jalynn
[10:47:39 PM] Bengalcat: speaking the word of God and singing his praises brings an atmosphere of peace
[10:47:40 PM] mikeb99: your right soul
[10:47:58 PM] mikeb99: what you doing jal
[10:48:02 PM] jalynn50: yes cat it does
[10:48:02 PM] ppl1st: I like thinking that I'm close enough to Him to hold His hand.
[10:48:13 PM] jalynn50: having study mike

[10:48:48 PM] jalynn50: As we conclude does anyone want to share any new insight you may have received from benefit 4: to experience God’s peace.
[10:48:53 PM] dolphinattak: peace is hard to live for because there is too much out there that check you in every turn. everyday life being cut off by a rude driver, someone complaining in the line at the store, someone beating their child in the store, losing that very important jewelry before you go to church,....the enemy makes our minds think thoughts we shouldnt and checks our faith and our peace
[10:49:38 PM] jalynn50: think of those things as the boulders in a river
[10:49:48 PM] dolphinattak: exactly
[10:49:51 PM] ppl1st: Try not to let anyone steal your joy, dolphin
[10:49:52 PM] mikeb99: hello dragon :)
[10:50:13 PM] dimples: Yes peace is hard to keep but it must be learned to give total submission and in ALL circumstances we will learn to be peaceful as Paul states he learned to be content in ALL situations
[10:50:14 PM] dolphinattak: i do my best and praise God when it happens
[10:50:14 PM] Bengalcat: that is why we should not seek peace as an end to itself, seek God forst, the peace comes with the focus on God
[10:50:22 PM] Soulprint: or depending on your relationship with God..little pebbles in his river of love...
[10:50:32 PM] jalynn50: when you hold his hand in submission no matter how many boulders you hit in the running water He never lets you sink
[10:50:48 PM] ppl1st: Yes! Exactly, cat!
[10:51:07 PM] dolphinattak: amen i am in agreement for all that.
[10:51:13 PM] dimples: yes jalynn
[10:51:37 PM] mikeb99: hi dimples
[10:51:49 PM] jalynn50: think about how a diamond in the rough is formed
[10:52:15 PM] dolphinattak: and i am losing my coal to be a more brilliant diamond
[10:52:19 PM] dolphinattak: :)
[10:52:20 PM] jalynn50: It goes through a process in order to allow the brillance to come out
[10:52:28 PM] ppl1st: Earlier we were saying that peace is a fruit of the spirit. A fruit; evidence of healthy growth
[10:52:33 PM] jalynn50: We are being refined
[10:52:34 PM] dimples: yes jalynn
[10:53:08 PM] dolphinattak: may i ask a question?
[10:53:18 PM] dimples: yes dolphin
[10:53:24 PM] jalynn50: But cat you are right when we seek him and our focus is on him
[10:53:44 PM] jalynn50: yes pp

[10:54:17 PM] dimples: savedman: what he is truly giving peace to is our spirit not our flesh

[10:55:37 PM] ppl1st: I've often wondered if God has a new name for each of us as so many in the Bible were given a new name by God Himself

[10:57:03 PM] dimples: interesting point
[10:57:16 PM] Bengalcat: revelations speaks of being given a white stone with our new name, a name that defines completley who we are to God
[10:57:41 PM] jalynn50: amen brother
[10:57:49 PM] dimples: I did not know that Cat
[10:57:52 PM] ppl1st: Yes, and wouldn't be wonderful when we hear the name God has called us by?
[10:58:21 PM] dimples: yes that would be great!
[10:58:33 PM] CindySue53: I am sorry I have to leave now. Thank you. I have a quiz. lol Good night all *SmileFish*
[10:58:42 PM] ppl1st: Bye Cindy
[10:58:44 PM] dolphinattak: this shows us we are not in fear of anything but know in our hearts we stand in representation for Him who sacrificed everything to allow us to be free of all things
[10:58:45 PM] Soulprint: God Bless Cindy...and peace be with you
[10:58:48 PM] Lineman: Good night Cindy and God Bless
[10:58:56 PM] dimples: good night Cindy GBU
[10:59:01 PM] jalynn50: Father in Heaven, Creator of the heavens and earth, We stand in awe not really able to comprehend your love for us.
[10:59:03 PM] Bengalcat: He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written that no one knows except him who receives it. (Revelation 2:17)
[10:59:17 PM] dolphinattak: God bless you sis and may God show you favor in passing your quiz
[10:59:28 PM] ppl1st: Thank you, cat
[10:59:41 PM] dimples: Thank you Cat
[10:59:50 PM] jalynn50: We thank you for brothers and sister who come seeking your face
[11:00:02 PM] dolphinattak: amen
[11:00:09 PM] mikeb99: okay jal
[11:00:20 PM] ppl1st: For now we see thru a glass darkly, but then, face to face!

[11:01:33 PM] jalynn50: Lord I ask a blessing of peace be poured out over this room tonight and as the river flows Lord Let us remember that even in the midst of a storm youhold our hand
[11:01:50 PM] jalynn50: Thank you Lord for your great Love In Jesus Name
